Linux kernel ============ This file was moved to Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst Please notice that there are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.

Currently, the user provided fops, "real_fops", are stored directly into ->d_fsdata. In order to be able to store more per-file state and thus prepare for more granular file removal protection, wrap the real_fops into a dynamically allocated container struct, debugfs_fsdata. A struct debugfs_fsdata gets allocated at file creation and freed from the newly intoduced ->d_release(). Finally, move the implementation of debugfs_real_fops() out of the public debugfs header such that struct debugfs_fsdata's declaration can be kept private.
